Make A Wish


Caught a glimpse of this ad while waiting for the lift.

Don't get it wrong, "Lupus" is not the city she's from. It is a life-threatening immune system disorder.


I was intrigued thus I googled Make A Wish. There were quite a few results and I'm not sure which is the official website but they are all speaking the same language, sending the same message, fulfilling the same dream-- To fulfill DREAMS.

Make-A-Wish Foundation is exactly what the name suggests. To enrich the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work, bringing them hope, strength and joy.

It all originated from Chris Greicius who made The First Wish. 7-year-old Chris is a leukemia patient who aspires to be a policeman. On 29 April 1980, his mother, a few friends and a group of police officers, with the cooperation of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, granted his wish with a custom-made uniform, helmet, badge and helicopter ride. His simple wish brought magic to the entire community and continues to inspire the world.
